PURPOSE:To absorb difference in thermal expansion and reduce thermal stress, by a construction wherein an end of each heat exchanger tube is fitted to a tube plate provided at an end part of the interior of a cylindrical shell, the shell is provided with branch parts, and the other end of the tube bent so as to communicate with the branch part is fitted to a tube plate provided in the branch part. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of heat exchanger tubes 17 are provided in the interior of the cylindrical shell 11, and one end of each of the tubes 17 is fixed to an upper tube plate 18 provided in the shell 11. The other ends of the tubes 17 are divided, and fixed to lower tube plate 19 provided in the branch parts 15. A primary-side fluid flows in through an inlet 12, flows between the tubes 17, and flows out through an outlet 13. On the other hand, a secondary-side fluid flows in through an inlet 16, exchanges heat with the primary-side fluid, and flows out through an outlet 14 therefor. When the temperature difference between the shell 1 and the tubes 17 is increased, stresses are exerted on the tubes 17 and the tube plates 18, 19 due to the difference between the thermal expansion of the shell 11 and that of the tubes 17. The stresses are absorbed by slight deformation of the bent parts of the tubes 17 located in the branch parts 15. |
