PURPOSE:To provide a vaccine containing the antigen originated from the MCLS-type sanguis strain, and capable of effectively treating the human diseases (e.g. Kawasaki's disease, purpura, etc.) induced or deteriorated by MCL-type strain. CONSTITUTION:The objective vaccine contains (A) an antigen (preferably the antigen originated from the ciliated structure of the surface layer of cell wall) originated from the group comprising at least a part of the cell of a microbial strain belonging to Streptococcus sanguis having high pathogenic property, capable of decomposing raffinose and melibiose and differentiable from known sanguis strain, e.g. Streptococcus sanguis SSH83 (FERM P-7372), MCLS2 (FERM P-8169), etc., and its cultured product, and (B) a pharmacologically permissible carrier. A mammalian animal is immunized with the above antigen, and the antibody produced in the body of the animal is recovered. The antibody is effective for the treatment of human diseases induced and deteriorated by the MCLS- type bacterial strain. |
