PURPOSE:To attain the effective use of the space on a magnetic recording disk by separating a file label area from a numerical control data area in accordance with the characteristics of the data for numerical control of each user so that no waste is produced to the space on the disk. CONSTITUTION:The file label information is first supplied from a keybaord 23. When receiving this information, a CPU251 informs it to a disk driver 22 via an input/output circuit 254a. Then a file label area A1 is set and accordingly a numerical control data area B1 is also set. The data delivered from an NC device 3 is received via an input/output circuit 254e and stored in a RAM253. When the reception of data is over, the CPU251 delivers successively the data of a RAM253 to the driver 22. The driver 22 writes the data on a designated sector of a floppy disk 13.
