PURPOSE:To obtain a multicolor print faithful to an original high in quality by exposing each yellow, magenta, cyan, and black plate to the light transmitted through each color separated transparent dot image obtained by color separating an original multicolor image of continuous tone, and exposing said black plate to each reflected line image. CONSTITUTION:A multicolor original image of continuous tone is color separated to obtain each color separated original film having a dot image and each color sensitive plate is exposed to a light transmitted through each of these color separated films and a lens. Then, said black plate is exposed through a lens to each light reflected from each light-nontransmitting line original image. Since each film can be formed by exposing it only to transmitted light and the obtained line images substantially do not transmit light, masking is not necessary, and a multicolor image high in quality having a black line image can be obtained by marking only the transparent image parts and exposing the black plate only to the reflected line images. |
