PURPOSE:To enhance the mechanism strength while keeping excellent sliding characteristics and gasoline-resisting properties, by making the member constituting the sliding surface of at least one of a slide valve and a guide member for the same by a composite resin material containing a particular binder and a particular filler. CONSTITUTION:A main nozzle 3 communicated with a float chamber 2 is provided on the upstream side of a carburetor 1 in respect of the intake-air flow, and a slide valve guiding member 4 is disposed in the manner of opposing the main nozzle 3. Further, a diaphragm chamber 5 is formed above the guide member 4. A sliding surface 6a of a slide valve 6 is guided by a sliding surface 4a of the guide member 4 to vary the diameter of a venturi portion 7. Here, the slide valve 6, for instance, is made of a resin material containing a gasoline resisting as a binder and a reinforcing fiber material and a solid lubricant as a filler. By employing such an arrangement, it is enabled to enhance the mechanical strength while keeping excellent sliding characteristics and gasoline-resisting properties. |
