<p>The present invention relates to an elongate drainage apparatus for preventing water from seeping into the interior of a sub-terranean structure by diverting the water to the structure drainage system. The apparatus includes an elongate flexible channel providing a medium along which water flows and pliable water permeable sheet material surrounding the channel and being slidingly engageable with the channel. The water permeable sheet has a higher resistance to water flow than the channel such that the water absorbed by the sheet is communicated to the channel. The present invention further relates to a drainage system including a plurality of drainage apparatus extending vertically in engagement with a supporting structure and terminating at the lower end below the sub-terranean structure. The present invention further includes a spring clamp for securing the elongate drainage apparatus in engagement with the supporting structure.</p> |
