METHOD FOR CHARGING MOLTEN IRON INTO PRETREATING FURNACE

PURPOSE:To maintain the temp. of molten iron and to improve the work efficiency by pouring molten iron into each vessel by a slightly smaller amount than the amount of molten iron to be charged into a pretreating furnace and by supplying molten iron in a stage for tranferring the vessel to the furnace so as to make the amount of molten iron in the vessel equal to the amount of molten iron to be charged. CONSTITUTION:Molten iron in a blast furnace 1 is poured into vessels 6a-6c whose capacity is enough for the amount of molten iron to be charged into a pretreating furnace 5 by a slightly smaller amount than the amount of molten iron to be charged into the furnace 5. In a stage for transferring the vessels 6a-6c to the furnace 5, molten iron is supplied with a crane 9 having weighing functions. The amount of molten iron in the vessel 6a is made equal to the amount of molten iron to be charged, and the molten iron is directly charged into the furnace 5.
