PURPOSE:To effectively remove fibers and paper powder, etc., during development by installing an electrode member opposite to a developer holding member on the outer circumference and having development bias voltage applied to it, and giving a potential different from that of said holding member to the electrode member. CONSTITUTION:The electrode member 11 made of a 1mm. thick bent Al plate is arranged opposite to a magnet roll 1 in a distance of 5mm. from the surface of the roll 1 and connected to the main body of an electrophotographic copying machine and grounded. When the roll 1 is rotated and paper fibers and paper powder contained in the developer 5 are floated up on the surface of the developer 5, the fibers and powder are attracted to the member 11 by the potential difference between the development bias voltage applied from a development bias power supply 8 to the roll 1 and the member 11 and collected to its surface. |
