VISUALIZING METHOD OF FLOW

PURPOSE:To visualize the flow at an arbitrary cross section quantitatively, by mixing a tracer of fine particles or bubbles in a water tank, and projecting light to the tracer. CONSTITUTION:A tracer 4 comprising homogeneous fine particles or fine bubbles is jetted through a jetting port 7 into a water tank 1, and a flowing field is formed in the water tank 1. Then slit light 5 is projected to the flowing field and irregularly reflected by the tracer 4. The movement of the tracer 4 at one cross section is tracked. Thus the flowing phenomenon and the flowing direction at the arbitrary cross section can be accurately detected.
