PURPOSE:To permit to detect knocking correctly at all times in spite of the manufacturing error or the like of the engine by a method wherein a knock deciding level is corrected so that the shape of distribution of the values of approximate logalithmic transformations of the maximum values in a predetermined division of a knock sensor signal becomes a predetermined shape. CONSTITUTION:The knocking control device decides the knocking by a knock deciding means E based on the output signal of the knock sensor A detecting knocking generated in the internal-combustion engine H. Control values, controlling ignition timing or the knock control factors of a supercharging pressure or the like, are operated by a control value operating means F in accordance with the result of decision and an engine condition signal. In this case, the maximum valve V in a predetermined division of the knock sensor signal is detected by a peak hold means B and the distributing shape of the value LOG(V) of approximate logarithmic transformation of the maximum value V is decided by a distributing shape deciding means C. The knock deciding level of the deciding means E is permitted to be corrected by a correcting means D so that the distributing shape becomes the predetermined shape. |
