PURPOSE:To improve the optical adhesive properties between a substrate and a layer of powder material formed on the substrate as shown in the dawing, by applying an organic material compound to the powder material layer and thereafter decomposing this organic metallic compound. CONSTITUTION:Aqueous solution of photocohesive composition is applied on a glass plate 2 and dried with hot air to provide a coating film, to which light from a mercury-vapor lamp is applied. Red fluorescent substrate 1 is scattered to be adhered on the film and thereafter the residual fluorescent substance is removed by spraying air. The layer of fluorescent substance is dipped in polyacrylamide solution for fixing, and then dried with hot air after washing it sufficiently. Ethanol solution of tetraathetoxysilane is rotationally applied on the fluorescent surface, and then heat treated in the air. According to this method, a layer of silicon dioxide 3 which is substantially transparent and has refractive index of 1.2-2.0 is formed within the fluorescent substance layer, so that the efficiency of taking out the fluorescent light to the outer surface is improved. |
