PURPOSE:To spread uniformly a developer extending over the whole width, and to obtain a toner image of a good quality by forming a projecting line on the side for feeding the developer of a gap between a running image carrier and a developing electrode, and making the gap small. CONSTITUTION:A projecting line 2a is formed in the width direction of a photosensitive body in the vicinity of a developer feed pipe 5a of a developing electrode 2, and this device is constituted so that an interval to the surface of the photosensitive body in this part becomes small. This interval is determined suitably by a developer and a material quality of the surface of the photosensitive body so that the developer fed to the interval for a development through the pipe 5a is drawn and spread forcibly in the width direction of the photosensitive body by an adhering force of its liquid and the surface of the photosensitive body. Also, the developer fed to the interval is spread in the width direction by the projecting line 2a first, and thereafter, flows out, therefore, the developer flows out uniformly on the whole extending over the whole surface. |
