PURPOSE:To positively prevent excessive amount of refrigerant by measuring the duration of operation of a refrigerant feed pump which is actuated when the liquid level in the refrigerant tank is above the predetermined level, and then by expelling the refrigerant when an excessive amount of filling is detected by a comparison of the measured duration and set value. CONSTITUTION:A boiling cooling device has a closed refrigerant circulation system 5 comprising water jacket 1, a condenser 2 for condensing gaseous refrigerant, a refrigerant tank 3 and a refrigerant feed pump 4 for circulating liquid refrigerant. In the present embodiment, first and second pump control means 7, 9 are provided which respectively output a pump actuating signal when the liquid level in the water jacket 1 as detected by first liquid level detecting means 6 is under a predetermined value, and when the liquid level in the refrigerant tank 3 as detected by second liquid level detecting means 8 is above a predetermined value. When the duration of the actuation signal outputted from the second pump control means 9 exceeds a set value, a signal is outputted from an excessive filling detecting means 10 to actuate a refrigerant expelling means 11. |
