<p>In a manual tamping device for cigarette tubes, particularly for cigarette filter tubes, comprising a casing having a tobacco-pressing chamber disposed in the longitudinal direction thereof, a cover-type press bar assigned to said pressing chamber and disposed in a cover covering the casing and being swingable about an axis, and an ejector slide carrying a spoon and intended for ejecting a pressed tobacco plug into a paper tube clampingly held on a socket at the outlet of the pressing chamber by means of a clamping device, the ejector slide comprises a frame-type handle embracing the cover, which contains the press bar and actuates the clamping device. The spoon is connected to said handle preferably on the underside of the casing in order to attain simple interlocking of the cover with the casing while simultaneously clamping the tube at the socket.</p> |
