PURPOSE:To simplify a device and reduce its size by supplying acoustic emission sensor cooling oil between the tire part of the probe and a test body, and obtaining couplant which propagates an ultrasonic wave. CONSTITUTION:The rotator of the tire type probe 20 is provided with plural oil outlets 18 and a wick 19 made of an annular porous material, e.g. sintered metal is provided on the internal surface of the rotator. Then, the oil for cooling the acoustic emission sensor 11 and propagating ultrasonic waves is supplied from the oil support port 16 of the support shaft 16 of the probe 20 to the hollow part 15 of the probe 20 to fill the hollow part 15 all the time and this oil is flowed out through said oil outlets 18 to fill the gap between a welding base metal and the probe 20 and operates as the couplant. |
