PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for a refresh terminal by peforming self-refreshing operation with a row address strobe clock. CONSTITUTION:An internal refreshing circuit 20 enters a refresh mode through a refresh timing generating circuit 22 in an inactive period in which the row address strobe clock from a row address strobe terminal RAS is at a level L, thereby refreshing the memory array of the RAM. This constitution eliminates the need for the refresh terminal for inputting a control signal which controls the start of the refresh timing generating circuit of the refreshing circuit in the pseudo static RAM. |
