Process for improving the conductivity in a silver paint layer. This is used on an electrical non-conductive material, such as a plastic material or similar. The silver paint layer is treated with an oxidizing solution, containing halogenide ions. The oxidized solution can also suitably contain a surface active substance for improving contact between the solution and the silver paint layer.
