An apparatus for the treatment of oblong fabrications 51, for example boards, comprises a vessel 7, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 55, in which a liquid bath 20 can be maintained. In each of the two opposing walls 45, 46 openings 36 are arranged, which are adapted to the cross-section of the fabrication in question, and the fabrication is designed to pass through the bath through the openings. The liquid bath is maintained partly by pumping treatment liquid into the vessel from a storage tank 15, and partly by keeping the arrangement under pressure by means of a blower 4. The storage tank 15 is provided with a level control element 17, 19, so that an essentially constant liquid level is maintained. The storage tank may be interchangeably fitted against the vessel. According to one embodiment of the apparatus, the vessel 7, 45, 46, 47, 48 and 55 may be provided with a housing 2, 7, 47, 48, 5, which has openings 37 arranged straight opposite the respective openings 36 of the vessel. As a result of the housing being connected to the vessel and the storage tank, the air from the surroundings will be drawn in through the openings in the housing, thereby reducing the susceptibility of the treatment liquid to foaming. <IMAGE> |
