PURPOSE:To regulate the circumferential surface of a platen to an appropriate position with respect to a type section by holding the platen at the position corresponding to the type section of a daisy wheel in such a manner as to be free to oscillate at the right angle to the forward direction of the carriage. CONSTITUTION:When the normal set from the center of a type section 12 of a daisy wheel 3 coincides with the center of the radius (r) of the platen 21, a character obtained is printed evenly with no vertical blurring. When the print surface 22 is located at the position as shown by A, the platen 21 rotates about the axis center and shifts the attitude thereof to the position as shown by B in such a manner as to follow the type section 12 of the daisy wheel 3. |
