PURPOSE:To improve the insulation between a hydrogen-ion-sensitive glass film and a reference electrode by providing said glass film to the top end of an electrically insulating base body and the reference electrode to the circumferential surface of the rear part and tightly mounting freely attachably and detachably an electrically insulating elastic ring to the circumferential surface of the base body between the glass film and the reference electrode. CONSTITUTION:The glass electrode body 1 is constituted by providing the hydrogen-ion-sensitive glass electrode film 3 to the top end of the base body 2 consisting of an electrical insulating material and the reference electrode 4 to the circumferential surface of the rear end thereof. The insulating ring 5 provided with an electrically insulating characteristic and elasticity is tightly mounted to the outside circumferential surface of the body 2. Said body is incorporated in an electrode case (d) and an electrode cell (f) is mounted thereto via a packing (e) in the case of measuring the concn. of the hydrogen ion in blood. The decrease in the electric resistance on the surface 2 of the base body is prevented by the ring 5 even in the case of flowing blood. The electrolyte is filled in the case (d) in the case of measuring the concn. of the carbon dioxide in the blood and therefore even if the ring 5 is removed, the generation of leak current owing to the change in the insulation resistance on the surface of the base body 2 is obviated. |
