PURPOSE:To increase the peripheral speeds of a wheel as well as to enhance the efficiency of dredging operations by a method in which many blades are projectionally provided with spacing in the widthwise direction at a given scooping angle on the periphery of the wheel and a suction port is provided between the blades. CONSTITUTION:A wheel 14 is rotatably attached to the tip of a ladder, and many blades 15 are projectionally provided radially from the periphery of the wheel 14 with spacing in the widthwise direction. The blades 15 are also provided at a given scooping angle theta. A suction port 20 is provided between the blade rows. The peripheral speeds of the wheel 14 can thus be increased and the suction efficiency can also be enhanced. |
