摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain superior sensitizing effect by using a cyanine dye expressed by the formula I as a charge generating body in an org. electrophotographic sensitive body. CONSTITUTION:The compd. is applicable to both single layered and multi- layered photosensitive bodies. Superior sensitizing effect is obtd. in a sensitive body prepd. in a single layer form, but more effective generation of electric charge carrier is attained in a multilayered sensitive body and the function as a sensitive body is exhibited satisfactorily. Examples for the charge transfer substance forming a charge transfer layer are polyvinyl carbazole, etc. among polyvinyl carbazole compds.
