<p>A method for achieving a blast in a converter while the conditions for slag formation within its vessel 3 are maintained. A device 5 is used to observe the light within the container, located in a through hole 4 which extends through the side wall 20 of a top blast converter or top and bottom blast converter to reach the interior 3 of the vessel. The converter can be operated very precisely on the basis of this observation.</p> |
