<p>In a microfiche card, sorting criteria are applied optically to a coding field (4) of the microfiche (3) instead of in the form of a perforation. This coding field (4) is provided at a narrow side of the microfiche card (1). As a result, the required data can be read directly from the document to be photographed for coding purposes. The method according to the invention for producing such microfiche cards dispenses with the previously necessary coding station with the film card reader, the punch and the hole duplicator. It also provides the possibility of larger and more easily legible plain text at the upper edge of the microfiche card. <IMAGE></p> |
