<p>A process for producing dimethylacetamide from trimethyl amine and carbon monoxide, using cobalt octacarbonyl as catalyst, associated with 0.5-2.0, and preferably from 0.5 to 1.5 moles of water per mole of cobalt octacarbonyl. The reaction takes place at 175-275 degree C and at a pressure of between 400 and 4000 psi.</p> |
