PURPOSE:To prevent leakage of gas by coupling plural conduits from a buffer tank to endboards having a combustion chamber or an oxidizing agent chamber and a current collecting section to be arranged at the upper and lower ends of a fuel cell and performing supply/discharge of fuel and oxidizing agent. CONSTITUTION:Endboards 1 to be arranged at the upper and lower ends of fuel cell body are formed such that a fuel chamber or an oxidizing agent chamber 2 made of a groove and a projected current collecting section 3 are provided on one face while a plurality of conduits 5, 7 communicatable with said fuel chamber or the oxidizing agent chamber 2 are provided and coupled through buffer tanks 6, 8 to supply and discharge conduits 9, 10. Then a cathode 12 and an anode 13 are arranged through an electrolytic board 11 to laminate unit cells which are arranged at the upper and lower ends to produce a fused salt type fuel cell. Consequently, the tightness between the endboard 1 or a separator 19 and the electrolytic board 11 is not damaged by thermal expansion/shrinkage under operation resulting in prevension of leakage of fuel or oxidizing agent. |
