PURPOSE:To secure the minimum area needed for extraction and shift of the graphic information by using a processing means which can extract only a desired area out of the graphic information stored in a memory part. CONSTITUTION:The maximum/minimum part 6 is set between a memory part 1 and a frame memory part 3. When the graphic information is extracted, the part 6 is started by a prescribed control part in response to an extracting instruction supplied by an operator via a position information input device. Then all vector information on the corresponding graphic information stored in the part 1 are read out to calculate the maximum and minimum values Pxh and Pxl of the direction (x) and the maximum and minimum values Pyh and Pyl of the direction (y) of said graphic information, respectively. Then a rectangular area 11 prescribed by those four values is selected out of the part 1 in the form of an extracting area, and only the graphic information in the area 11 is extracted. |
