PURPOSE:To simplify a series of operation necessary for fermentation remarkably by providing a screw conveyor in a main body of a long-sized casing, and providing also a hopper at one end, a working part and a discharging part at another end. CONSTITUTION:A raw material prepd. by adding necessary amt. of water to an org. material such as fowl droppings, foods, is charged from a hopper 4, and the raw material is transferred toward the top end part successively by the action of screw blades 6 when a screw shaft 3 is revolved by a driving motor 8. During the transfer, the raw material is kneaded by the blades 6 and contact of fine particles with air is promoted, and heat of fermentation is induced by the heat of friction caused by the kneading. When the raw material reaches the working part 12, the transportation is inhibited by a stirring member attached to the external periphery of the screw shaft 3, and kneading and shearing is prompted and the density is increased. The material is pushed out during this stage from a discharging port 20 in the discharging part 19 to obtain porous built-up products.
