PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a structure for fixing a heavy construction on a barge which allow a fixing support stage to be compact and inexpensive by reducing a load acting on the fixing support stage to fix the heavy construction such as a jacket-type structure on the barge.SOLUTION: An elastic support section 4 supports a vertical load of a jacket-type structure and can reduce a load acting on a fixing support stage 3 through shear deformation thereof produced by following a relative movement between the jacket-type structure and the fixing support stage 3 and thereby enabling the fixing support stage 3 to be compact and light with reduced rigidity and manufactured at a low cost. Also, the elastic support section 4 is economical because the same can be used repeatedly.
