PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position an optical sensor with respect to an intermediate transfer belt, while preventing unnecessary replacement of the optical sensor.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes: a pre-transfer guide 190a which rotates around a shaft of a registration roller 19a; a sensor unit 500 having an optical sensor 51; and a fixing member 510 which fixes the sensor unit 500 to the pre-transfer guide 190a so as to be slidable in a vertical direction of the shaft of the registration roller 19a. The pre-transfer guide 190a includes a contact part 190e in contact with a part of an intermediate transfer unit 50 to regulate a rotation limit position of the pre-transfer guide 190a. The sensor unit 500 includes a regulation part 52a in contact with a part of the intermediate transfer unit 50 to regulate a slide limit position of the sensor unit 500. |
