PURPOSE:To reduce the occupied installation space with respect to the main circulating direction of water as much as possible by fitting valve bodies to a valve rod in such a manner as to freely slide, disponsing elastic menas in both valve bodies and providing stoppers, thereby to regulate the operation of the valve bodies. CONSTITUTION:A valve rod 7 reciprocating between valve seats 4, 5 is horizontally inserted in a block 1. Valve bodies 11, 12 having conical contact surfaces corresponding to the valve seats 4, 5 in a valve chest 6 are fitted to the valve rod 7 in such a manner as to freely slide, and a compression coiled spring 13 is interposed between the valve bodies. The valve rod 7 is provided with stoppers 14, 15 for regulating the operation area of the valve bodies 11, 12. The valve bodies 11, 12 are controlled to advance and separate to and from the valve seats 4, 5 by reciprocation of the valve rod 7 to achieve closing and switching of a flow. |
