The present invention relates to a method for producing thermal and acoustic insulation for glazed walls of buildings. The method rests on the exploitation of the thermal properties of the materials according to an alternating use. The elements, which make up the method, are composed of an opaque panel 1 whose facings 1 determine a free space between them, of a glazed panel 3 of lower thermal resistance than the panel 1 and of an insulating movable flap (shutter) 2 which, by moving from the inside of the opaque panel 1 to the glazed part 3 and vice versa, produces, alternately, the insulation or the complement of insulation of these two opaque 1 and transparent 3 parts. <IMAGE>
