PURPOSE:To prevent the accumulation of moisture by exhausting air containing steam out of the apparatus, by providing air passing holes and an exhaust fan to the side surface of a thermal printer. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust fan 11 is provided to the shaft of a platen 5 and air passing holes 13 are provided to a side plate 12. When the exhaust fan 11 is rotated, the open air is introduced into the space formed by a thermal head 1, a paper guide 6 and printing paper 9. Air containing a large amount of steam filling said space is exhausted to the outside of a thermal printer from the air passing holes 13. |
