Each of the two drums of a clay cleaning machine has an annular steel shell with a central inner flange to mount on a revolving bearer. The bores through which the clean clay is pressed inside are surrounded by raised rings. The bores and the rings around them are arranged on square plate segments, curved to suit the drum periphery, which are fixed by four screws to the drum and register with the perforations in the drum shell.
