PURPOSE:To prevent a defect in cleaning by forming a reinforcing part which counteracts an tendency to turn over an elastic cleaning blade according to a run of an image carrier near both ends of the elastic cleaning blade. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a photosensitive body 1 which rotates as shown by an arrow A is charged electrostatically by an electrifier 4 and reflected light projected from an original surface is imageformed on the electrostatically charged surface to obtain an electrostatic latent image. The latent image is visualized with toner from a developing device 6 and transferred to a transfer material at a transfer position where a transfer electrifier 8 is installed. Residual toner remaining on the surface of the photosensitive body at the transfer member is removed by a cleaning member 3 equipped with the cleaning blade 15. The blade 15 is made of an elastic material such as urethane rubber and fitted to the member 3 through a support member 14. Triangular reinforcing parts 15a and 15b are formed integrally at both end sides of the blade 15. The reinforcing parts 15a and 15b eliminates the tendency to turn over the blade 15 by the run of the photosensitive body 1 to prevent a defect in cleaning. |
