PURPOSE:To make it possible to burn residual gas with no bad affection being applied to the operation of an engine during the running of a tank lorry until it arrives its loading base, by controlling the opening and closing of a shut-off valve in a gas pipe line in accordance with a concentration signal from a gas sensor. CONSTITUTION:Bottom valves 2 are disposed in each of tank chambers 1 to discharge liquid from the latter, and are connected with a discharge pipe 3. Further, gas pipes 4 for discharging flamable gas which dewells in the chambers, are inserted in the chambers, and are united into one pipe line the other end of which is connected to an air suction pipe 7 for supplying air to a Diesel engine 6. The pipe 7 is disposed therein with a gas sensor 12 for detecting the concentration of gas in air passing through the pipe 7. A control means 13 successively receives concentration signals from the sensor 12, and issues instructions to change the opening and closing of a shut-off valve 11 or the degree of opening of the valve in accordance with concentration signals from the sensor 12. |
