A device intended for fitting to a toilet seat to allow colonic irrigation comprises a tube piece 2 borne by a holder 1. One end of the tube piece is intended to be connected to a water container situated at a higher level than the toilet seat and the other end of the tube piece is intended to be connected by a non-return valve to a rectal catheter. The holder 1 is provided with two resilient clamping arms 7 projecting therefrom in opposite directions and in a common plane. The arms are arranged so as, when the holder is fed down into the bowl of a toilet seat, to fix the holder 1 in a certain position in the rearmost part of the bowl as a result of the resilient bearing contact of the arms 7 against the walls of the bowl, so that the rectal catheter is directed substantially vertically upwards. The clamping arms are expediently constituted by bow-shaped wires 7 or bands, which are intended to bear against the walls of the bowl directly beneath the irrigation water outlet. <IMAGE>
