PURPOSE:To improve electrophotographic characteristics and receptivity to treatment for enhancing hydrophilicity, and to obtain a superior print by forming a phthalocyanine pigment-ZnO-resin dispersion layer on a phthalocyanine pigment- resin dispersion layer, and specifying a content of ZnO. CONSTITUTION:The phthalocyanine-resin dispersion layer is formed as an electrostatic charge transfer layer 2 on a conductive substrate 1, and on this layer 2 a photoconductive layer 3 using the phthalocyanine pigment and ZnO as photoconductors is formed, and the layer 3 contains ZnO in an amt. of 60-85wt% of the layer 3. The use of 2-layer structured photoconductive layer improves electrophotographic characteristics, such as acceptance potential, dark decay resistance, and sensitivity to semiconductor laser beams, and also receptivity to treatment for enhancing hydrophilicity, and permits a large number of superior prints to be obtained in succession. |
