The two wheels (1) of one axle set are each secured to a halfshaft (3) engaged, so as to be able to slide axially, in a common sleeve (4) extending between the said wheels (1). The end part of each halfshaft (3), located on the outside of the corresponding wheel (1) carries a coil spring (9) bearing, on the one hand, on an end shoulder (3b) of the halfshaft (3) and, on the other hand, on a bearing (8) traversed by this halfshaft. This arrangement results in the two wheels (1) being stressed elastically in the direction in which they tend to move away from one another. Their flanges (1a) come to bear laterally against the rails (2), which prevents the vehicle from performing a yaw movement when it runs on a straight section of track. <IMAGE>
