PURPOSE:To take a color copy by providing a nonmagnetic sleeve which carries a developer layer consisting of toners and magnetic carriers on the surface and has a magnet internally and a magnetic material body which faces the sleeve across a specific gap. CONSTITUTION:An optical part 5 projects a pattern light image on a photosensitive drum 1 to form a latent image. Simultaneously, insulating toner 10 in a hopper 11 is supplied by a supply roller 12 to magnetic carriers 9 on the nonmagnetic sleeve 7, charged electrostatically by friction through the rotation of the 1st magnet 8, and conveyed until it faces the magnetic material roller 6. The insulating toner 10 is stuck electrostatically on the roller 6 by the 2nd high- voltage DC power source 13 between the magnetic material roller 6 and nonmagnetic sleeve 7. When the photosensitive drum 1 rotates until the latent image on the photosensitive drum 1 faces the insulating toner 10 charged on the magnetic material roller 6 to the opposite polarity, the toner 10 scatters over the photosensitive drum 1 to develop the image. |
