The web of the girder consists of a steel truss so as to build a bracing at each node NS, NI of which the members M, D of the truss are joined to the booms MS, MI by steel connectors penetrating the concrete. The bracing is isostatic, which minimises the disadvantages of contraction or creep of the concrete. The construction may be carried out inexpensively by successive cantilevering stages from piers P1 by adding prefabricated truss portions and pouring concrete on site.
