PURPOSE:To suppress increase of the maximum speed by closing the guide vane immediately upon interruption of load of a movable vane turbine while maintaining predetermined opening of runner blade for predetermined time interval thereafter performing the closing operation. CONSTITUTION:In the control method of a movable vane turbine, having a guide vane and a movable runner blade as means for regulating the flow, the guide vane is closed immediately upon interruption of load while the runner blade is closed after maintaining the opening immediately before load interruption for predetermined time interval. Consequently, under load interruption, the decelerating function due to the runner blade opened more than some degree will function to suppress increase of the maximum rotary speed. Consequently, the centrifugal force functioning to the rotary section of main machine is reduced to lengthen the service life while the hydraulic pressure rise in a hydraulic conduit is reduced to make thin the hydraulic iron pipe. |
