MOVING MOLD TYPE CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a product by conducting the moving locus of casting molds which are subjected to heat extraction to offline thereby extending the cooling time for the casting molds and improving the cooling effect of a slab. CONSTITUTION:The moving mold type continuous casting machine is so constituted that the molds 5, 5 in the return side parts after subjecting the molds to the heat extraction by contact with the slab 6 are conducted to offline and are again made to contact with the slab 6. The molds are consequently cooled thoroughly while the molds are conducted to offline, by which the heat extraction effect for the slab 6 after cooling is considerably increased.
