<p>PURPOSE:To improve a quality by shifting a work roll based on the measuring results of the sectional profile of a rolling material at the outlet side of a rolling mill and by controlling most adequately the shape of the rolling material. CONSTITUTION:A rolling mill is equipped with work rolls 1, 2 movable in an axial direction consisting of measuring instruments 11a, 11b measuring the sectional profile of a rolling material S after its rolling, a signal (a) therefrom, an arithmetic unit 13 performing a comparative calculation of a establishing signal (b) and a controlling device. Said controlling device controls a work roll moving device of shifting cylinders 6, 7, etc. based on a signal C transmitted from the arithmetic unit 13. The shape of rolling material is controlled most adequately and the quality is improved by said rolling mill.</p> |
