PURPOSE:To enable accurate and automatic detection of ignited condition by taking-in the internal condition of a furnace as video with a pick-up camera to compare the brightness level with a set value in the furnace for burning garbage, coal or the like. CONSTITUTION:When garbage 2 on a stoker is ignited, a flame 1 is generated and a ITV camera 4 takes the video thereof and sends a video signal to a detector 5. Then, the video (a) shows the flame part 1a at a high brightness and the garbage part 2a at a low brightness. The video (a) is divided into numerous zones and the bightness is compared with the set level for each zone to judge whether or not it is larger than the set value. The judgement is done for all zones with a microcomputer. The video (b) which indicates the results of the judgement shows a specified brightness binary-coded at a slice level from the video (a), where the flame 1a and the garbage 2a are converted into those 7 and 8 binary-coded. With such an arrangement, the area of the flame 7 is calculated and when the results are larger than the set slice level as specified in comparison, it is judged that ignition has started. |
