PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a data transfer system by connecting a memory to be accessed between two file control devices and transferring data to a data processor only once. CONSTITUTION:When the data processor 1 writes the same data in disc devices 5, 6, the processor 1 applies a writing instruction in the devices 5, 6 to control devices 3, 4 through control interfaces 101, 102, and then transfers data to the device 3 through the interface 101. The device 3 receives the data, writes the data in a common memory circuit 2 through a memory interface 103 and also writes the data in the device 5 through a disc interface 105. Then, the device 4 reads out the data written by the device 3 from the circuit 2 through a memory interface 104 and transfers and writes the data to/in the device 6 through a disc interface 106.
