In a double-stroke dobby, a double hook (17, 18) is respectively assigned only one three-armed control lever (27, 28) which loads one hook end (19, 20 and 21, 22) with a respective control-lever arm (55, 56), whilst its pivoting drive is transmitted via a third driving-lever arm (49). The end of a control-lever arm (55, 56) loading the double hook (17, 18) is under the influence of a spring pressure effective in the loading direction, in order to compensate different control positions of the double hook (17 or 18). <IMAGE>
