The invention relates to a protective tent for concrete surfaces, in particular for carriageways of a road, with a support construction which is movable on wheels, designed in particular in the manner of a lattice-work, and serves to support purlin-shaped supports for a tent roof, with longitudinal elements which in use run in the direction of travel and pass through from the front to the rear end of the tent and with, running at an angle thereto, transverse elements which are connected at their ends in each case to associated longitudinal elements. According to the invention, at least one set of the transverse elements is connected in an articulated manner to the associated longitudinal elements, so that the tent width can be varied by changing the angle between the transverse and longitudinal elements.
