<p>PURPOSE:To discriminate the tape stop in a short deciding time by providing pulse generating means for a take-up shaft and a supply shaft of a magnetic tape respectively and selecting a pulse signal having a shorter period from outputted pulse signals and inputting the selected pulse signal to a stop detecting circuit. CONSTITUTION:A pair of reel shafts of a tape detector 1 are provided with rotary discs 2R and 2L, and pulse generating means 6R and 6L consisting of photo diodes 4R and 4L and photo transistors 5R and 5L are so provided that these discs are interposed between photo diodes and photo transistors. Each reel shaft is used as the take-up shaft or the supply shaft in accordance with the tape running direction. The pulse signal having a shorter period is selected from pulse signals, which are outputted from pulse generating means, by a signal detecting circuit 8 and is sent to a stop detecting circuit 9, and a tape stop signal is sent to a driving control circuit 10. Consequently, tape stop is discriminated in a short decision time.</p> |
