PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of the equipment without requiring a driving circuit and a power unit exclusively used for a valve by operating the valve with the control of the time of driving a recovery pump to dilute the ink by a dilution solution. CONSTITUTION:In the normal operation when no forcible dilution of ink is performed especially, the driving pulse width of a recovery pump 30 is set at t2 and a supply port 40 is opened to allow a dilution solution 39 in an auxiliary cartridge 31 to flow by Q2. On the other hand, when ink is diluted forcibly, namely, when the flow velocity of ink drops slow down, the driving pulse width of the recovery pump 30 is controlled to t4 by an output from a time lag comparator circuit and the total flowrate of the dilution solution 39 is turned to Q3 greater than the Q2 to lessen the ink density in an ink tank 10. Then, due time must be awaited until the ink diluted is pressurized with a supply pump 14 and jetted from a nozzle 12 and then, the flow velocity of the ink drops is detected and additional dilution will be performed if necessary. |
